Kalden Final Redner 2013

Advanced Character Design in 2013 at Gnomon. Kalden is a character from my original series Destiny of the Marked. He's a master of magical arts, a little crazy, secretive and a bookworm. i decided to go asymmetrical to give him a disruptive look and the side cape making him feel like he's hiding something - a limp leg - among other things. He's dressed in regal coloring (purple hues) because he is also very proper and always in control of what he says and in what emotions he shows.

Photoshop - Spring 2015 Cover and Chapter Head illustrations for a young adult book by Roger Ziegler commissioned to me. I had a lot of fun illustrating a fantasy world based in our reality and learned a lot about working with different clients over the last few years. Book has not yet been published. No word on publishing has been sent my way for a while.

The Oar Troll

Creature design final from the Creature Design class at Gnomon with Jerad Marantz (2013). This Troll is one that haunts the docks in Japan (Okiawa to be more exact). Despite his physical abnormalities, he is an expert fisherman and guards him home from unwelcome visitors.

Creature Design with Jerad Marantz class at Gnomon (June 2013 and then redone in September 2013). The Selkie is essentially a "Seal Mermaid" from Celtic mythology. This image was mostly created with the "photobashing" technique and some painting.

Photoshop - July 2015 Created as a commissions for a UK client for their short stories about the Welsh Bronze age. The character had the ability to transform themselves into a bear at will. The client wanted me to capture him attacking and transforming. I had a lot of fun with this piece!

Environment/ Scene illustration from Gnomon Advanced Painting Class (2013). I redesigned the Greek Goddess Athena and had to render some sort of environment for her. I decided to create a scene of Romans coming to siege the Greek Goddess in her war room at the Parthenon and capture her, taking her as their own, transforming her into the Roman counterpart, Minerva.
